Why should I hire a professional pest control operator when I can do it myself?
Do-it-yourself pest control is certainly an option; then again, most homeowners lack the knowledge and training that professionals have to treat pest problems properly and effectively. A vital factor in treating a pest problem effectively is correctly recognizing the insect species and developing a course of treatment that takes the insect’s habits and biology into consideration. It is also very important that the treatment materials used are handled and applied properly to ensure effective treatment. Is there any odor with the treatments?
In most cases, no. One of the many advantages of the low toxicity solutions we use is you do not have a bothersome odor.
Do I have to leave my home, and for how long?
In most cases you do not have to leave your home during or after the application. Almost all of the pests we control can be taken care of without the hassle of vacating your home. Flea treatments and fogging require you to leave for a period of 2-3 hours. Expectant mothers and infants under 1 year are also required to leave for 2-3 hours following interior insect treatment.
How can and insecticide control insects and not be harmful to people and pets?
The amount of pesticide needed to control insects is much lower than the amount that would affect mammals, such as humans and pets.
Will the products you use harm the grass or flowers around my home or the plants inside my home?
No. Even with direct contact, you never have to worry about the product we use harming your lawn or plants.
How long will it take to rid my home of the pests?
Every situation is unique, depending on the type of pest or even environmental factors. That is why we take pride in our personalized care. No two situations are exactly alike, but you can be sure that Global Pest Control will provide exceptional performance at a sensible price.
How can I tell the difference between flying ants and termite swarmers?
Ants and termites are often confused with one another; however, there are a few simple things you can look for to differentiate the two. Termites have a broad waist and straight antennae, and both wings are the same size. Ants have a narrow, pinched waist and elbowed antennae, and they have two sets of different sized wings.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. Unlike many of our competitors, we do not pressure you into a contract. However, we do offer contract-free service agreements that you are never locked into. No longer need service? No problem.
Do you guarantee your work?
We guarantee all of our work for a period of 30 days; the only pests excluded are cockroaches and bedbugs. If the treated problem returns during the 30 days, we will return for a no-charge service. Free extra-services also apply to customers who are a part of our maintenance program.
